Responsibilities:
Work under general supervisionUpdate manual and computerized status reports and logs per department requirementsPerform moderately complex assembly and soldering tasks using tools such as hot tweezers, cutters, soldering iron, solder pot, and stereo microscopeExecute production assembly from formal work instructions and drawingsHandle multiple products within the department or companyConduct complex inspection of solder jointsUnderstand Kan Ban and small-batch size requirements; support Lean initiativesProvide training to lower-level employees with support from leadOffer leadership within task groups in lead's absenceUnderstand production requirements broadlyAssist with inventory and department status activities under lead guidancePerform other job-related duties as assignedAvailable for occasional overtime (Saturdays included)
Qualifications:
Proficiency in reading, speaking, and understanding EnglishAbility to lift 25 poundsSuccessful completion of visual acuity examSkills:
Effective verbal communication and reading skillsAbility to work from schematics and blueprintsProficiency in understanding technical work instructionsProficiency in reading a scale/rulerEducation:
High school diploma or equivalentYears of
Experience:
0-1
years' experience with soldering or precision assemblyOTHER PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES OR QUALIFICATIONS (not required):
Familiarity with Word or Excel; basic computer skillsSix Sigma, 5S, and Lean experience are advantageousAdditional skills:
needlepoint, fine embroidery, sewing, model assembly, or similar hobbies/work requiring manual dexterity and small parts handling.
