Continuous Improvement Lead


Summary:

Responsible of identifying training needs and developing training plans together with engineering group with the goal of equipment performance continuous improvement in terms of availability, reduced scrap rate, throughput and maintenance costs.
Training plans will be developed for new engineering college grads, seasoned equip technicians and Equipment Engineers.

Key Responsibilities and Duties /
Essential Functions:

  • Developing technical training content regarding equipment operation and maintenance of semiconductor production equipment.
  • Assessing EES techs basic skills related to basic tool components systems and development training plans accordingly.
    (Electrical systems, electronics maintenance, pneumatics, troubleshooting techniques, etc.
    )
  • Supporting EE team on documentation needs.
    Perform assessment of current system/practices and develop recommendations to optimize it
  • Defining technical documentation optimal format.
  • Gathering technical documentation, developing course participant workbooks, presentations, and trainer notes.
    Interfacing with engineering and technical support to develop course content.
  • Maintaining training calendar, coordinating resource logistics, and recording of training completed.
  • Evaluating effectiveness of training programs relative to Skyworks's performance-based objectives and trainee feedback.
  • Training is conducted in a combination of classroom, process/engineering labs, and production floor.
  • Some areas require work inside a clean room with applicable clean room gowning, personal protective equipment, and related protocols

Education and
Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Experience with semiconductor processing equipment.
  • Detailed knowledge of all technical aspects including but not limited to:
    • Pneumatics/Vacuum Systems
    • Electronic Theory and application
    • Skilled in Hand-tool usage and all forms of electronic trouble shooting equipment E.
      g.
      DVM, Scopes, etc.
    • Able to perform Hands-on testing and experiment setup to troubleshoot a myriad of electro/mechanical faults
    • Patience and ability to work Hands-on with others as a trainer and base of knowledge to Jr engineers and Techs.
  • Intimate knowledge of our in-house equipment
  • Basic knowledge of Lean and 5s theologies
  • Ability to transfer knowledge effectively in a 1:
    1 or group environment.

  • Detailed knowledge on best formats/procedures to generate, maintain and improve Technical Documentation with the focus of maximizing knowledge transfer to technical document reader.
  • Detailed knowledge on feedback systems to improve technical procedures/formats
  • Strong verbal, written skills, (English), and interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate to audiences that include non-native English speakers
  • Proficiency with MS Office, (Word, Excel, Outlook, and advanced PowerPoint use)
  • Prior experience working with vacuum-based or wet chemistry (Plating), or dry chemistry (PVD), equipment, utilizing software-controls preferred
  • Must be able to work in a clean-room environment and wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Self-motivated individual with ability to work alone and/or with limited supervision
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 30 lbs.
    independently, or lift up to 50 lbs.
