Job Description
Seeking a Principal Layout Designer responsible for the layout, rule checking and documenting of miniature laminate PCB content, utilizing multiple layer board technologies. In this role you will be working closely with design engineers in the layout of RF wireless consumer electronic products using the Cadence APD Design environment and custom verification tools. Position requires remote interfacing with domestic design engineering and layout teams in multiple design centers across multiple time zones. Position can be located in either Newbury Park, CA or Irvine, CA.
Job Requirements:
Associate degree or equivalent and 5
years of experience in the layout of laminate PCB devices focused on RF products
Previous team leadership role a plus
Able to plan the placement of major circuit components in an overall physical design.
Previous experience in the preparation of Gerber data for release to laminate board vendors.
Basic understanding of electrical packaging including surface mount device solder reflow, wire bond, flip-chip
Proven ability to read electrical schematics and netlists.
Basic experience and competency in using the following tools:
Cadence Allegro and APD board design tools
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
A self-starter and team player with ability to learn on the job
Good mentoring skills #LI-DB1
